Hello and a warm welcome to The Jewellery Works, we’re Richard and Melanie Burt and we’re passionate about creating a truly personal jewellery experience here in our Giffnock showroom & workshop.
Our Master Goldsmith Richard Burt is a time-served Goldsmith and Diamond Setter with over 30 years of experience. His career began with an apprenticeship at Eric N Smith in Newton Mearns in 1985, followed by further training at the prestigious Sir John Cass Jewellery School in London. There he learned from some of the best in the industry, including Master Setter Tony Tigg who set Princess Diana's iconic sapphire and diamond engagement ring now worn by Princess Catherine. Richard spent the following 35 years working alongside Scotland's leading jewellery designers, building an exceptional depth of knowledge and skill.
The Workshop
In 2018, when the opportunity arose, we jumped at the chance to open our own showroom and workshop and we’ve never looked back since.
We stock a wide range of both designer and bespoke pieces sourced from Europe’s largest jewellery fairs so whether you’re looking for an individual statement piece, a personal commission or simply looking for a unique gift we have you covered.
Our in-house workshop offers a complete range of services from repairs, restoration and remodelling which transforms your treasured pieces. Everything is carried out right here on site, nothing ever leaves the workshop.
